Shoes Let's Get Some Shoes

Shoes Let's Get Some Shoes

If this isn’t already known I love shoes. Our whole family does, my weight may go up or down because of having kids but my shoe size has always stayed the same. And with summer ALMOST here (Seattle people we got a tease and now I want more!!!!) I have been gathering some cute summer sandals that I am so excited to wear. Since me and Q are finally gonna go on a vacay just us I got some for that and then got some for just every day mom stuff (pool and park). Mainly I just got some cause I love shoes (can’t resist a cute fun sandal) and soon as I get a whiff of warmer weather I am buying summer stuff (anyone else do the same thing?)

  1. I thought these American Eagle fringe sandals were SO cute! I loved the yellow/mustard color. I feel like the fringe looks different in person then it does in the store, more stiff looking in the picture. I have wide feet (super chubby) I am usually an 8/8.5 in women but I sized up and got a size 9 otherwise it looks like my foot is exploding over the edges of sandal. Comes in other colors!

  2. These were a DSW find to replace a pair of Steve Madden sandals I have had for probably 5 years that I wore to the very ground (it felt like I was literally walking on the ground but I still own them and will still wear them) but needed something better for my feet so I saw these and loved them. They are Coach but like a sister affordable brand Coach called Coach and Four. Again chubby feet I got a size 9 and comes in other colors!

  3. PINK! I am not usually such a pink person but these sandals are just so fun and cute for summer. They are definitely a more affordable version of the regular Birkenstocks. They are rubbery and super great for the pool or going to the beach and can just wash them off. I got a size 39 which translates to a 8/8.5

  4. On IG I follow @targetdoesitagain (warning it is dangerous you will want everything, they show you stuff you might not have seen but then you want to go find it and get it) and saw these Target sandals. I LOVE the color of these sandals they are like a understated way of doing color, and go with so many things. And I really like the weaving of the straps. Sized up again and got a size 9. It also comes in a black/snake print/silver combo which are also super cute.

  5. I LOVED these soon as I saw them. I forget where I first saw them but soon as I did I went right to Nordstrom site to see if they had them and they did. They are a beaded pair of Sam Edelman sandals which are definitely pricey pair of sandals but I feel like you can get so much use out of them with the color choice I picked. I will say I did get a size 8.5 but I want to exchange them for a size 9 to make them feel more comfortable for my feet. And during the summer you have somewhere nice to go but not heel worthy nice to go these would be great. I already picture me wearing them out for a nice dinner with Q on vacay.

  6. So if you see my picture on IG there is a pair of black Sam Edelman sandals that I found at TJ Maxx for like $35 but cannot find them anywhere else online. I love them with jeans and a tee. These pair I found on Nordstrom (I have not bought) and think they are so nice and sleek and great way to dress up jeans, I love the silver beads around the edges.

TIP/TRICK: Also here is a shoe trick I realized some people just don’t know and is not obvious unless you just know shoes. If you are lets say a size 8/8.5 in women shoes (like me) you can also wear kids size shoes!!!! Sometimes you could seriously save anywhere from 20-40 dollars depending on the shoes. So the way it works is if I wear a size 8/8.5 women then you would size TWO sizes down to wear kids shoes, that would mean in big kids sizes you would wear a 6/6.5. And you can also wear men sizes which would be TWO sizes downish for men. In men I typically wear a 6.5/7. Again this also depends on the shoe brand some brands just run bigger or smaller (but ladies if you like Uggs this really could help out and save some money by buying Uggs in the kids section!) Uggs, Converses, and Vans are two shoes that I know run really big, always size way down.
